Holy Spirit is bigger than the white elephant in the room.

“For I, the Lord, love justice.” Isaiah 61:8
God loves justice.
It’s important to know the upcoming generations need to be able to speak for themselves. It’s important to relinquish the mic after you’ve had it for a very long time. It’s important to listen to the upcoming generations when they finally speak.
Because the same fiveish white people still own and control all screen media, they are stuck in their ruts and have their own agendas. So I’m less interested in doubters and naysayers and old agendas and more interested in what these youngins are experiencing, and how they are forever changing. What has this generation told me themselves? Honestly, those experiencing this Mighty Move of His Spirit are shook. (*As am I, and I’ve been experiencing this exact same outpouring of Holy Spirit since last July. Take a look around my site. I’m writing about it here and sharing on my Instagram @hayfarris.)
God is in full and total control of everything. That includes the NEW WINE He is making.
So if the majority of us humans, no matter what we look like, are all desiring peace, it’s going to take some changes that aren’t just fluff, but true heart changes, and then true systemic changes. Perhaps these institutions that are lacking in diversity are precisely where we want God’s Spirit to move and cause lasting heart change to ensure we don’t just keep producing more of the same ol same ol.
(Even though I’ve met some from this gen, and they’re far from same ol same ol.)
Because if there’s one thing God, Holy Spirit, and Jesus are obviously in control of, it’s the miraculous.
Does diversity need to improve in historically white spaces? Absolutely.
I think we can all agree: we need miracles and a Mighty Move of His Spirit to change what’s happening in our country and in the world right now.
So who are we to say that’s not exactly what God’s Spirit is doing? The unity formed from this Mighty Move certainly provides Hope for the future for EVERYONE. Don’t try to squish a new Mighty Move of His Spirit into your old wine skins. Jesus himself literally said that won’t work. We know that:
- God stays the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- He is ALWAYS doing something new that will remain in perfect alignment with His Word.
Please don’t contaminate such a pure move of God with old thought patterns and snap judgements. The environments we’re in can only change systemically if His Holy Spirit shows up first. So we should all be excited and expectant because the elephant in the room is not a problem for God, His Spirit, and Jesus.
And the way we’ve been doing life here in America clearly hasn’t been working with any longevity for the majority of people. (For a select few, like those who own all the screen media, I guess they’d want to make you believe a different story. Because things have clearly been working for them exactly as is.)
No matter what side of the aisle we vote, no matter what country we reside in, no matter how we heard about this 2023 “revival” and no matter what old wine tries to contaminate our younger generations, this Mighty Move of His Spirit should give us great HOPE.
And isn’t HOPE what we’ve all been desperately needing, collectively? HOPE that encourages us to be unified, as one body?
